Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC BICENTO

Appearance:
Located on the slopes of the immaculate hills of Taurasi, in one of the most suitable areas of Irpinia, Nativ winery is located in the heart of Paternopoli. A land rich in history and tradition. Rumor says that the territory was first colonized between the 4th and 3rd century B.C. Following the Edict of Constantine, which granted freedom of worship throughout the empire, more and more men began to abandon the wealthy life of the town, looking for isolated and peaceful places, where they could meditate and pray. Those men were named “Pater”, in the wake of the hermits of the Nile Valley. Important red wine whose vines grow on volcanic soils on the Taurasi hills. The name of this wine comes from the 200-year-old vines from which we produce this wine. Bicento literally means “twice 100”
Production process: The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small boxes of 20 Kg. They are subject to light pressing. Maceration for about 20 days in steel silos under the process of alcoholic fermentation. At the end of fermentation, the wine is separated from grapes skins.
Aging: 18 months in French oak barrique.

Nose: Violet, Blackberry, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Plum, Vanilla, Liquorice, Tobacco, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Cloves, Menthol
Palate: Full body, very concentrated, dense on palate, long finish with remind of black cherry.
